English: Today we are writing our instructions! Watch Miss Carey-Smith's video and then complete your own instructions.
Emerging: Write 2 simple instructions based on your plan from yesterday. E.g. Get horse.
Expected: Write your 4 instructions. Don't forget to include the numbers and draw pictures! Remember that we are looking for capital letters today.
Exceeding: Complete the activity as expected are but your challenge is to include adjectives in your instructions too, just like Miss Carey-Smith did!
Phonics
Emerging: Watch Miss Carey-Smith's video on the 'ai' digraph. Then log onto Phonics Play and play buried treasure with words containing 'ai'.
Expected: Watch the video as Mrs White helps you to learn the alternative pronunciations for the 'ch' grapheme. Play the game on phonics play. Can you get 10/10?
Exceeding: Watch Mrs White’s video and then watch Miss Streeton’s video to apply the 'ch' alternative pronunciations.
Handwriting:
We have had a note from a knight! Can you read the note and then write him a message back. You have to use your best handwriting! Remember those curly caterpillar, zig zag monster, ladder and one armed robot letters!
Reading:
Why not have a go at reading one of these books. You might need to read them with and adult however you might also be able to use your new understanding of alternative pronunciations to read them!
Reading for pleasure is so important! So share a book together, get comfy and have a great chat about what you are reading! How about a new story as an end of week treat instead of movie night, or a hot chocolate with your book! Think of ways to make reading a pleasurable experience and get lost in a fantasy world!

Keep practicing this week’s spellings! How are you getting on with them? Watch this weeks video again to help you (from Tuesday).

Emerging: Watch the comparing numbers power point and then have a try at completing the comparing numbers questions
Expected/Exceeding: Today we are going to recap all the learning from this week! Watch the video from White Rose and then answer the questions on the sheet. You have been learning all about these methods so I think you will do a great job!
Challenge: Complete this word problem:
Beth has 12 toy cars and then she gets 18 more. Her friend Toby has 19 toy cars and the he gets 11 more. Which inequality symbol do you need to compare how many cars they have?

Today we are going to plan our instructions. Watch Miss Carey-Smith's videos to get some ideas of how you might choose to do this today.
Emerging: Draw 2 pictures for 2 steps you want to have in your instructions. Label what you have drawn.

Emerging: Choose a teddy or toy from your house. Choose a bossy verb from Little Miss Bossy’s words below and use it to tell your teddy or toy what to do! Remember the bossy verb is always the first word in your sentence.
Expected: Choose a bossy verb and write it into a sentence. Do at least 3 sentences. How bossy can you be?!
Exceeding: As expected activity but can you also include some adjectives in your sentence? E.g. Get my delicious sandwich.

Emerging: Watch the Twinkl video below to look at comparing numbers. Can you compare the numbers below? Use the method that is shown in the video.

This follows on from Miss Carey-Smith's video on Monday when you used tens frames to solve and compare number sentences. If you don't have a number line you can use a ruler like Miss Streeton!

Emerging: Watch Miss Carey-Smith’s video on the ‘ng’ sound. Now can you go on your own hunt around your house for things containing ‘ng’. Have a go at writing them down!
Expected: Watch Mrs White’s video to explore the alternative pronunciations for the ‘y’ grapheme and then log onto phonics play to play Acorn Adventures or Cheeky Chimps for the ‘y’ grapheme.

Handwriting
Rainbow roll and write! You will need pens or pencils, one for each colour of the rainbow and a dice. Choose a name you would like to write e.g. your own name, a pets name, friends name, mum or dad and roll the dice to see which colour you should write each letter! Remember to practise on lines and to start and finish in the correct places. Linked below is where you can find the videos to support with letter formation.

Maths: Today we are starting off with Maths and comparing number sentences. Watch both of Miss Carey-Smith’s videos and then have a go at your activity.
Emerging: Compare the number sentences using the completed tens frames (pdf file).
Expected: Compare these number sentences using the method shown in the video.

Exceeding: Complete the expected activity first, then have a go at the below problem. Look carefully as there are subtraction number sentences there too!!
English: Watch Mrs White’s video to learn about the craftsmen in the castle and then watch her second one to see what your activity is today.
Emerging: Draw your chosen craftsmen and label which one you have chosen. Don’t forget to sound out your word first and write down all of the sounds you could hear, using your phonics knowledge. Write 2 key words linked to your chosen craftsmen.
Expected: Write about your chosen craftsmen. We are looking for at least 3 full sentences with beautiful handwriting and all of your finger spaces!
