Today you need to work practically using a variety of containers. Investigate how many small containers it takes to fill the larger containers.
The capacity of the ________ is ________ pots.
Miss Streeton has modelled this using a cup and a large jug but you can use whatever you have at home!
Now you know how many to fill one container can you work out how many cups you would need to fill 2, 3 or 4?
Emerging: Estimate how many cups you will need before you start filling!
Expected: Can you work out how many to fill 2 containers. Remember this is doubling!
Exceeding: Can you do the same as expected and also the challenge below?
