Play-based activities
In reception the children learn through play. In school we have a variety of play-based activities (continuous provision) set up inside and outside to support their learning in a range of areas of the EYFS curriculum. In school children can choose their own play and access continuous provision. Learning from home is a very different environment, but we want you to know that alongside the lessons we have planned the children can still play! Children learn so much through independent play and interactions! Play provides opportunities for children to develop their language skills, use their imagination and learn and consolidate formal teaching.
Here are some play ideas for this week! These are just some ideas incase you need any inspiration! These are play activities that the children could do independently, or with an adult or sibling. Please let us know of other play activities your child has been enjoying at home so we can share with other parents! Have fun!
