Hedgehog class have had lots of fun exploring 'our wonderful world'. We started our learning by learning about dinosaurs with an exciting dinosaur hunt in forest school. The children have loved learning about dinosaurs. They have found out about carnivores and herbivores, dinosaur habitats, fossils and and dinosaur skeletons. The children have become poets and written dinosaur poems using rhyming words. They used adjectives to describe their dinosaurs and hunted for a word better than 'big'.
As part of our 'wonderful world' topic, we are exploring mini-beasts. The children had lots of fun exploring the microhabitats on the school field to look for different minibeasts. The children are using adjectives to describe minibeasts, and verbs to describe their movements. Will will be exploring doubling and sharing in our Maths and will be continuing to count in our 2s.
