What an amazing day we had when Teach Rex brought Jam the T-Rex to St George's. We all experienced an interactive information assembly and then our class had a workshop where we created a short video clip using green screen technology. Check out your child's tapestry account to see their video!
We are excited to be starting the new half term with our Dinosaur topic! We have lots of exciting activities planned, including our amazing visitors Teach Rex, who have some awesome activities organised for us!

Mysterious nest and egg appear at St George's!!
Our new topic 'George and the Dragon' will see us retelling the legend of George and the dragon through writing as well as drama and role-play. We will continue to explore using a variety of materials with a purpose in DT and begin to find out about local places of historical significance in our History lessons. What a lot of fun we have ahead of us!
Our latest topic is 'Oink Oink Oink' where we explore the traditional tale 'The Three Little Pigs'. The children will use this topic to explore Materials in Science and different ways of joining materials in DT. In English we will be re-writing an alternative version of the traditional tale - did you know the wolf wasn't really big and bad!?
Our first topic is based on the book 'You Choose'! Details of what we hope to cover during this topic are below. As always, we go with the children's interests and ideas where possible, so these plans may change.
